- What is the future outlook of plastic?
The demand of plastic is expected to greatly increase in the future.
Recycling
of plastics is performed while environmental issues are tackled.
In terms
of recycling, thermosetting resins are difficult to recycle because they do not
melt even when heated again. On the other hand, thermoplastic resins can be
recycled once they are heated again.
Disposed
PET bottles, for example, are thermosetting plastic and therefore are reused as
fabric after collecting, crushing, and melting them.
Nowadays, biodegradable resins that are environmentally
friendly are being developed.
